Domestic Violence Is A Learned Behavior That Can Be Unlearned
By Faith
By Deaquelynn Williams

Can the unclean thing become clean again? Yes, it can… by faith. The “unclean” woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus by faith and was cleansed.

Mark 5, KJV
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
How did this unclean woman become clean? By faith.
There are four components of faith à Hearing, Believing, Confessing, Action

Hearing (v. 27)
She heard Jesus was coming (faith comes by hearing). This woman would have never received her healing had she never heard about Jesus or that He was going to come “in reach” of her as He passed through. Faith begins where the will of God is known, and God’s will is God’s Word. We have to hear in order to have faith. Amen. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Believing
Although Mark 5 does not say the words “She believed in her hear” we know that this woman believed because in verse 27, immediately after hearing the Bible says she “came in the press behind” Him. In order for her to press in, she must have believed what she heard. She believed in her heart that if she could touch only the hem of His garment she would be made whole. (Revelation… the “press” is belief. So to “press your way though” actually means to “believe” your way though.)

Confessing (v. 28)
She confessed that if she could touch Him [Jesus] she would be made whole. Confession is a key component of faith that people often miss. Confession is simply releasing your faith by the words of your mouth. We must confess [speak our faith] unto salvation. Romans10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. In other words, we must release our faith through the words of our mouth until we see the manifestation.

Action
She did it! She actually touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and immediately she was cleansed and made whole. People of God, hearing is not enough! Believing is not enough! Confession is not enough! We must put action to what we stand in faith for. Without action we would never know if our faith produced any results. Where is your faith? What have you done about it?

Notice… she did not keep touching Him. Only ONE TOUCH by faith and she was cleansed. In other words, the matter was resolved immediately when she took it to Jesus! Hallelujah!

Don’t think that because you were once promiscuous, a liar, a cheat or anything “unclean” that God cannot cleanse you. Not only can He cleanse you, He wants to cleanse you. Why? So He can receive glory from your life. I don’t doubt in my mind that this woman with the issue of blood left Jesus’ and went and told everyone she knew what He had done for her. Thus making her the bearer of “good news”… sounds like she may have preached the gospel, huh?

God wants to use you in a mighty way! Don’t feel discouraged because you have not always lived right or done the right thing. By faith you can be cleansed and whole! Receive it today!

Do you desire healing in your body? Do you need deliverance in a certain area of your life? Are there relationships that you need to mend through forgiveness? Now matter what you are in need of, no matter how broken or “unclean” your situation may be, you can be whole by faith! Receive it today! Now is the time. Don’t wait. Seek God. Seek His Word. Believe in your heart. Confess with your mouth. And take action today! God will honor your faith today!

Be blessed in Jesus!
