A Voice Crying In The Wilderness
~ Stacey Lunsford ~

D is for DECEIVER ~ the use of deceit, to mislead or hoodwink someone, 1 Corinthians 3:18, Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
E is for ENVY ~ the practice of deliberately making somebody believe things that are not true, a discontented desire for someone eles's possessions or advantages *1 Peter 2:1*, Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,
C is for COMPLAINERS ~ those who make expressions of dissatisfaction, or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event: Jude 16 These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

E is for EVILDOERS ~ a person who commits profoundly immoral and malevolent deeds. Psalm 37:1, Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

I is for IDOLATRY ~ the worship of idols 1 Corinthians 10:14 (AMP) Therefore, my dearly beloved, shun (keep clear away from, avoid by flight if need be) any sort of idolatry (of loving or venerating anything more than God).

2 Corinthians 6:17 (AMP) So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor,

V is for VANITY ~ excessive pride, conceit, lack of usefulness, worthlessness.  Job 15:31, Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return.

Isaiah 59:4, None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

E is for ERROR ~ the state of being wrong, deviating from what is correct or true.  2 Peter 3:17 (AMP) Let me warn you therefore, beloved, that knowing these things beforehand, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind].

Mark 13:22, False Christs (Messiahs) and false prophets will arise and show signs and [work] miracles to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (those God has chosen out for Himself).

Ephesians 4:14, So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

R is for REBELLION ~ an uprising designed to change or overthrow an existing government or authority.  Open defiance toward authority or convention.  1 Samuel 15:23 (AMP) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim (household good luck images). Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.
