ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!

Meet The Founder of
Arise & Shine For Jesus International Ministry

Elijah Odhiambo Ngwena, a man after God's heart, was born and raised in a Christian home by both of his parents that were Pastors.

Elijah accepted the call to ministry in September of 1999, shortly after the death of his wife. They had one son  and his name of Olive.

During his own sorrow, God opened Elijah's eyes to see the suffering of those around him in the community and rural parts of Africa, that consist of to the poor, the needy, the widows, the orphans, the ones that were/are abused, mistreated and neglected.

Dedicated to helping those in need, Elijah has traveled to some of the most dangerous parts of Africa to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ministering At Turkana Crusade 2011
Evangelist Elijah and his ministry team in Mombasa, have gone on several dangerous mission trips to the rural areas of Africa...where the unforgotten, the outcast, the ones that are overlooked in the dry areas where there is lack of clean drinking water, where there are seasons where it barely rains and water is scarce.
