On March 31, 2006, I sent the following message to family and friends, hoping that the message would be an eye-opener for the many men/women that are in abusive situations, that see the warning signs but ignore them, and hope that things will change.
Often times, things will change and the abuser will apologize, he or she will do all kinds of nice things for you, they will be oh so sweet, gentle and kind to you, all in effort to pacify you, to relaxe you, to deceive you into believing that he/she is going to change. This is called the honeymoon stage and believe me, it doesn't last long and when the romance wears off, the abuser is back to his/her abusive ways and the abusee, "continues to see the signs, walking on egg shells trying not to do anything to trigger an explosion."
Here's the message:
I'm forwarding this message to you, asking you to please pray for this family and the pre-mature baby of the deceased mother that was carelessly murdered by the father of her child.
This story really touched my heart because I used to live in the apartment (which is now an abandoned building) left neglected by the owners of the property that in all honesty should have been closed down by License and Inspection when I moved out but they never followed-up, now a life is gone!
My prayer is that if anyone reading this message is in an abusive relationship, have an abusive or controlling spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend that you will seek help immediately because help is available. If you are in immediate danger please call 911 for help. If you are not in immediate danger but need help or information with exiting out your negative relationship in a safe and positive environment, that could literally kill you.....please contact me!!!
I will personally assist you with receiving the help that you need.
If you are not in the Philadelphia area, help is still available and I will direct to an agency in your local area.
If you are not in an abusive or controlling relationship but you know someone that is, please forward this message to them. This is truly a wake-up call...to many times, we ignore the warning signs and today, I'm sounding the alarm....and asking for your help....asking you to save someone's life, maybe even your own!

LYNETTE LOGAN STARTED a diary last September, and her first entry described a new boyfriend who could be "mean, hurtful and scary."

5/8/06 Praise Report and Update on Baby Gianni
Just wanted to say thank you for your prayers for the Logan family and provide an update on the baby's progress.
Baby Gianni, is doing well. She was released from the hospital last week and presently weighs 5 lbs and is growing nicely. She is healthy, strong and extremely happy.
She has been placed in the grandmother's custody by the state.
Again, thanks so much for taking the time to pray for this family and for this precious baby.
Please continue praying for the family, especially for Lynette's father, Leonard, he's having a hard time dealing with everything, especially since he isn't able to see his grand-daughter at this.
I can't get into the particulars, God knows...and I believe that His perfect will is being done. If any "brothers" are interested in encouraging and uplifting brother Leonard, please contact me, it would be greatly appreciated! He is saved but is in a backslidden stage. I spoke with him today and he wanted me to thank you all for your prayers!
His heart was truly uplifted, knowing that complete strangers were praying for his family and I believe with all of my heart that brother Leonard received hope today. Again, thanks for all of your prayers!
Love your sister in Christ,
Stacey Lunsford
