Out of Darkness Comes Light
By my son, Brandon Lunsford
She’s had a rough life.
In the past…
She’s been through more things than you can imagine.
The hurt and the pain she has endured are impossible for you to fathom.
She’s been violated, abused, mistreated and used.
She was raised to think that she couldn’t do what she wanted to.
She has suffered from a serious lack of love in the household.
She has been brought down so low that she could not be bold.
Low self-esteem and fear eventually took control.
Deep down inside of her heart she was not whole.
She has made mistakes.
She has been disobedient.
She has been heartbroken.
She has been depressed.
Her past up until now seems like some kind of dark wilderness where pain and suffering would abide. But I thank God for her past because out of darkness comes light. Presently… She’s a new creature, the old has gone and the new has come.
Presently…
She’s on fire for God. A diligent servant determined to win souls.
Presently…
She is making a difference. She’s a living testimony of His goodness.
Presently…
She is my mother, my backbone.
She is responsible for laying a strong foundation.
Her past has taught her how to better raise my siblings and I.
She has connected us with the Father early
so that we will not depart in the future.
She has given us love though it was hard at times.
She wasn’t finished her molding and shaping.
See my mother was being broken down during that time.
She was being decomposed, deconstructed, and demolished so that she could be refurbished and repolished. She is beautiful.
She has been compressed like that coal that transforms into a diamond.
Out of darkness comes light.
In the future…
She is bound to do great things.
She will be heard of internationally.
She is a powerful woman of God.
She is a living example right now that out of darkness comes light.
Because she is walking in the light now and she’s there to stay.
I love you Brandon, Mom!
