Father God in the mighty name of Jesus, I boldy approach Your throne this morning and I thank You for this opportunity to cast my cares upon You! Domestic Violence is increasing daily and the statistics show that 1-3 women are being abused by their spouses or their partners and that includes both heterosexual and homosexual relationships and Father they are white, they are black, they are hispanic, they are asian, they are of many ethnic backgrounds, they are of many cultures, they have many beliefs and with all of their many differencs, they all share a common need....they need a way of escape in Jesus name!
While I don't have the statistics on men that are being abused, I know that their story is no different the women above and I lift my voice unto You this morning, knowing that You will hear and answer my prayers according to Your perfect will for these individuals in Jesus name.
Your word says that my people perish for lack of knowledge and Father today, by Your grace, I lift up every agency, every shelter, ever non-profit organization, every hospital, every clinic, every church, that is taking the time to educate Your people about domestic violence. I ask O God that You will continue to educate me and that You will take the lessons that I learn and use them for Your glory in Jesus name!
Father, please place a hedge of protection around every woman, man, boy and girl that is being abused either directly or indirectly in Jesus name and provide shelter from the storm...You said that You will make a way of escape. I can't explain how I'm feeling right now but Harriet Tubman is on my mind, as I type this prayer Lord and her courage, her strength and her determination to see her people set free is before me...Father You used Harriet Tubman to build the Underground Railroad and many slaves found their way to freedom and I bless Your name for Your Divine Provision, Your Divine Guidance!
Father I ask for Your Divine Provision and Your Divine Guidance today with sounding the alarm, the training is coming, hold on, help is on the way....Father You said that You have heard the cries of Your people and I am asking You to move on their behalf, save, deliver and set the captives free today in the mighty name of Jesus!
Father I lift up every abuser today in Jesus name, I ask that You would forgive them for their abusive behavior towards their spouse, their partner and their children. Show them their error today, help them to get the help that they need, help them to come out of denial and to learn how to deal with their problems in a positive way, a way that will bring forth healing, instead of hurt because Father hurt people hurt people and today my heart is hurting because I feel the pain of those that are being abused and I feel the pain of those that are committing the abusive behavior and I'm asking You Lord to move by Your Spirit now, expeditiously.
Father help those (family, friends, co-workers) that are close to both the victim and the abuser to stop agreeing with their negative behavior in Jesus name, help them to be strong, to stand up, to speak up and help somebody, save a life, save a child, save a community, save a neighborhood, save a nation, O, I believe today, that it can happen and I'm asking You to show me my roll, show me what I can do to help the cause O, Lord! How can Arise & Shine For Jesus Ministry help the cause the Lord?
There are many areas that need to bathed in prayer and I ask in Jesus name that You will raise up ready, willing and able intercessors that will pray the prayer of agreement for the following things:
Our legal and judicicial system (must) become educated about Domestic Violence (especially our judges) because (some) of their decisions have lasting effects upon the victims, especially the children and everytime a child is forced to have either supervised or unsupervised visits with the parent that have caused the trauma and emotional distress to the children and the mother/fater, they (judges) are placing them back in danger by allowing the abused parent to receive visitation rights...
Our schools, our institutions, our community centers, our churches (pray for awareness, pray for education, pray for training) we must lift our voices in the hallways, in the classroom, in the community rooms, in the sanctuary, for we see, we hear but we remain silent and every day, victims of domestic violence die!
Daily a child is emotionally damaged and traumatized because of what he/she saw or heard at home and they act out what they can't explain and we label them, misdiagnos them and yes, we even mistreated them and we must repent in Jesus name! We must lift our voices in total humility and repentance and ask God for forgive us for ignoring the warning signs, teachers, principals, counselors, community leaders, pastors, ministers, educators, politicians, etc. we can't afford to remain silent in Jesus name, amen!
