Women Against Abuse
As I began working on this particular page, "Read Between The White Lines Surrounding These Faces", was standing out to me and each picture began to silently speak to me; they are "all" asking for help.
Maybe you have seen the similar faces, with similar expressions, at various places; at your job, at your school, at the PTA meeting, on the bus, on the train, at the market, at your church, on the choir, in the pew, in the pulpit, the parking lot and even at the mall; everywhere you go, women are there; different sizes, different colors, different religious backgrounds, different nationalities, different economical backgrounds, upper class, middle class and lower class; they all have one thing in common, Domestic Violence!
Every day, every city, every state and every country, a woman is either physically, psychologically or sexually abused by her partner; this includes both heterosexual and homosexual relationships! Domestic Violence is prejudice or bias, it has no preferences, it's serious, it is serious, it's extrememly dangerous and it is destroying homes and breaking families apart! If you can read between the lines of this message, it's time to break the silence and I am asking for your help!
Will you help me? Will you help the cause!
I am one of many that is sounding the alarm, working together to end the harm of our loved ones, our daughters, our sisters, our aunts, our mothers, our grandmothers, our grandaughters and our friends. Look at the pictures again...and replace it with your loved one and tell me what you see. Brokenness, Sadness, Sleepness Nights, Depression, anger, fear and silent screams for help! Hold on, help is on the way!
