The greek word for edification is Oikodome. It is pronounced (oy-kod-om-ay')and it is the (the act of) building, building up, edifying, edification, the act of one who promotes another's growth in Christian wisdom, piety, happiness, holiness, a building (i.e. the thing built, edifice)
An edifice is a building and 1 Peter 2:5 (amplified bible says), 5 [come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.
SPIRITUAL TEMPLES
1 Corinthians 3:16, Do you not discern and understand that you [the] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to]?
1 Corinthians 6:19, Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as]from God? You are not your own,
2 Corinthians 6:16, What agreement [can] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Ephesians 2:20-22, You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone.
21 In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase)into a holy temple in the Lord.
22 In Him [and] you yourselves also are being built up [into] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.
KEY PRAYER POINTS
1) Pray for the instruction and improvement of the Body of Christ morally or intellectually.
2) Pray for the Body of Christ to have standards of good character and conduct, in a way which conforms to standards of good behaviour.
3) Pray for the Body of Christ that our reasoning will not overshadow the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
4) Pray for edication of the Body of Christ that we will build each other up in Christian love, with compassion, with a tender kindness and meek gently spirit.
5) Pray for spiritual, wisdom knowledge and understanding of who we are Living Stones ~ Daily Be Made Into A Spiritual House of Worship) and that we will learn why and how we are to present our bodies as a living sacrfice, holy and acceptable to God which is our reasonable service and that we be not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our mind.
Romans 12:1-2, I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by], so that you may prove [for] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in].

Morally ~ in relation to standards of good and bad character or conduct. In a way which conforms to standards of good behavior
Intellectually ~ appealing to or requiring use of the intellect, the faculty of reasoning and understanding objectively, especially with regard to abstract or academic matters and the understanding or mental powers of a particular person
