The sole purpose of Arise & Shine For Jesus Ministry is to glorify God and to help real people find real biblical "soul"utions for the real problems (Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Incarcerated Parents, Brokenness, Poverty, Sexual Immorality, Drug and Alcohol Addictions, Prostitution, Gangs, Unsafe Schools, Senseless Deaths, etc.), that they are facing on a daily basis. Problems that the church has overlooked, been afraid to address and/or have been inadequately prepared to assist them with. Most of the churches today are loveless, there is no compassion and there is no unity and we all know that a house that is divided will fall.
Romans 12:9-10 says, Let love be without dissimulation (hide something by pretense: to disguise or hide your true feelings, thoughts, or intentions). Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Arise & Shine For Jesus Ministry is about caring and sharing, when we know that one of our members or visitors are hurting, the whole church should be hurting, and the whole church (body) should be interceding on behalf of the one that is hurting...until a breakthrough occurs. We believe in taking the time to care about our fellowman by lending a helping hand, in walking in obedience to God's word that instructs us to love our neighbor as ourself, willfully, not grudgingly.
Arise & Shine For Jesus Ministry is not concerned about increasing the membership (filling the pews) but we are concerned about the spiritual growth and development of the "Remnant" that is here and our primary focus is to: develop and teach, (perfect the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, Ephesians 4:12); fruit bearers, to producing fruit...not just any old kind of fruit but ripe juicy fruit that is certified by the Holy Ghost! I'm talking fruit where the seed is coming out and being reproduced, by rooting out, pulling down, destroying and throwing down, so that we can plant and build up, Jeremiah 1:10.
Our objective is to see those on the outside (captives) that are not saved and are unchurched break free from their prison doors; as well as the captives that are (inside) those that are in the church, save but bound, living defeated lives, it's time for a change! Breaking free from the strongholds of our past isn't an easy task but it is attainable and we believe that biblical principled living will result in positive lifestyle changes.
Arise & Shine For Jesus is not a ministry that believes in turning people away because they are dirty, smell bad and don't have enough clothes on...we are not concerned about cleaning the fish (people) that we catch for Jesus! We believe in catching them, so that Jesus can clean them! "If" true discipling is taking place, the way they dress will change; the way that they smell will change and their frowns will turn upside down into smiles because the new thing spoken of in Isaiah 43 will spring forth!
